Domus Portrait: Listone Giordano between design and humanism

Within the Domus Portrait project, Listone Giordano tells its story through the cultural and interdisciplinary vision that has always guided its identity: wood as a primary material, a synthesis of humanism, science, and design.

Within the Portrait project, Andrea Margaritelli, entrepreneur and brand manager of Listone Giordano, engages in a dialogue with Walter Mariotti, editorial director of Domus, to share the cultural vision guiding the company. As a leader in the wood sector, the company interprets this material as “materia madre” and as a vehicle for a philosophy that unites humanism, science, and design.

Margaritelli’s vision goes far beyond the business realm: as president of IN/ARCH (National Institute of Architecture), he champions "human regeneration"—a concept that goes beyond mere urban redevelopment to integrate science and culture as core pillars for tackling today's complex challenges. His advice for the next generation is both clear and direct: don't just stick to theory. Instead, embrace the hybridization of knowledge and dive headfirst into the working world by immersing yourselves in concrete experiences.
