New visionaries. The winners of the Young Talent Architecture Award 2018

Promoted by the Fundació Mies van der Rohe, the international prize supports the best new graduates in architecture from all over Europe.

Julio Gotor Valcárcel, Perdido (Lost) - P.R.U.S. of Madrid

The Young Talent Architecture Award (YTAA) is a prize promoted by the Fundació Mies van der Rohe within the European Creative program. The initiative encourages the talent of recent architecture graduates from all over Europe, putting them in contact with the best European companies and institutions. YTAA announced the winners of the 2018 competition, selected among 334 projects, presented by 451 students from 118 schools. The award ceremony will be held on 20 September 2018 at Palazzo Mora, in Venice. The four winners are: Hendrik Brinkmann (Berlin), with the project “Neue Bau | akademie Berlin – a club for the former & future architecture”; Julio Gotor Valcárcel (Madrid), author of “Perdido (Lost) – P.R.U.S. of Madrid”; Matthew Gregorowski (Berlin), who presented “Deplorable Framework”; and Loed Stolte (London), with “The Bank of England: a dialectical project”.
