Fig. 1 Fahr 021.3, ENSAIO 04 installazione a Póvoa de Varzim, Portogallo, 2018

Fahr 021.3 designed a temporary installation for the celebration of the third anniversary of the reopening of the Garrett Cinema-Theater, in the Portuguese town of Póvoa de Varzim. The element is a wooden frame warped following the rules of perspective, leaning on the facade of the building.

The element achieves an urban dimension by establishing a relationship of scale between the building and the public space. The exercise staged by the collaborative practice FAHR 021.3, is a geometric study of a curved surface built through straight planes of poplar wood. When looking at the installation Ensaio 04, the constant interplay of shadow and light creates an effect of illusion.
