Objects Within

Objects Within is an experimental research work by Hungarian studio Hidegszoba that explores the relationship wiht objects, personalites and the literature of Iván Mándy.

Studio Hidegszoba completed another conceptual design work that focuses on how remembrance happens through objects and the filter of fine literature, in the context of urban dwelling. The guideline used is the prose and reifying epic of Hungarian writer Iván Mándy (1918–1995).

The four pieces presented, examine the potentials of storing personal objects. The purpose of the design is to leave the objects open and give space to different personalities. Storage furnitures are receptive items, which become full with the personality of the objects within. Just as Mándy’s short stories, the objects of this research work are fragments, which is up to everyone’s personal mythology to complete.
