The Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles opens an exhibition on carpets commissioned by Petra Grunert Singh – Equator Production in over thirty years. The pieces are made with artists who incorporate their practice into the larger narrative of artistic historical relevance, blurring the domains of art, design, and craftsmanship.

“The Interior and the Carpet” includes works by thirteen international artists featured from 1985 to 2003 including Alan Belcher, Walter Dahn, Jirí Georg Dokoupil, Liam Gillick, Ilya and Emilia Kabakov, Joseph Kosuth, Ken Lum, Jonathan Monk, Peter Nagy, Julião Sarmento, Rob Scholte, Rosemarie Trockel and Heimo Zobernig. More recent carpet series showcase pieces by Alan Belcher, Liam Gillick and Joel Otterson.
