Joō de Rolls is an interior project by ARTTA Concept Studio for a Japanese-French dessert serving restaurant located at Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. Using three main colours – mint green, gold-orange and grey-blue – the designers enhanced the ‘sweet’ character of the environment.

The logo is inspired by the name of the restaurant, Joō de Rolls, with ‘Joō’ meaning queen in Japanese: churros have been transformed into a crown-like shape. At the core of the design, a fusion of Japanese and French features. To give a welcoming atmosphere the counter table was situated at the entrance, letting customers see how fresh churros are made, together with ice-cream and other beverages. The floor-to-ceiling windows let the natural lighting in, giving the space a warm touch.
