Adriano Design has developed for Verum Italy an indoor and outdoor tap which through the simplicity and essentiality of the product’s design, defines its functionality and illustrates its beauty.
Dueacca is a new way to perceive and use the “tap” which promotes a re-definition of the object itself, its function and employment. As a consequence, the concept of the hydraulic system is reformulated in order to provide a new level of interaction with water: the innovation and modularity of the system is defined by a small cube (measuring only 50 mm) in a brass alloy that can be interpreted, modelled and constructed in order to provide a flexible answer to indoor and outdoor needs. Dueacca is a patented system.

The system is comprised of four outdoor mixers with joystick and one indoor mixer, whose modularity is achieved by applying a variety of accessories to the main body. By modifying and combining the various input and output connectors, the desired configuration is obtained: angular or linear, for sinks or for showers, or used simply as an everyday mixer. A variety of kits are available for the outdoor version: wall-mounted shower, tree shower, wall-mounted tap and floormounted column. The indoor version features a mixer with double adduction for hot/cold water, to be either mounted to deck or wall.

In order to set up its various configurations, Dueacca features an array of stainless steel accessories: shower-head connectors, shelves, tube holders, shower columns, free-standing fountains, shelves for wall-mounted versions, and clips for outdoor hoses. Also other mounting and fixing components are available for the indoor version to enable it to be used either as a wall or deck-mounted device.

To realise the tap a small cube in a brass alloy is carved by numerical control machines in order to obtain the locations for its water paths, ceramic cartridge and aerator. It is made with limited amounts of raw material, produces minimum quantities of waste (completely recyclable), optimises production costs and can be completely disassembled for part replacement when necessary.
