Dorota Koziara: Renesans

The new collection of plates by the Polish designer Koziara, based in Milan, is realized in the historical pottery Manufaktura in Bolesławiec which is now renovating its production.

Dorota Koziara, Renesans
The concept of the Renesans collection is based on a harmonious combination of a variety of patterns.
The plates collection is based on a simple form declined in different patterns to create a collage of complementary, yet different objects. It is like in the Renaissance when different disciplines merged with each other. In this collection Dorota Koziara worked in a similar way, combining different patterns.
The collection itself is a study on decoration applied to the noble pottery produced by Manufaktura in Bolesławiec, encouraging a shift away from minimalism and adding some warmth to interiors or tables. Each member of the family can choose their own pattern, creating a personal, harmonious whole of patterns and colours. It is like inviting people coming from different cultures to join the table, like hosting unexpected guests. The main idea of the collection is to be open to what is different, new, individual, although creating an harmonious whole with others.
