The French brothers’ first experience with the Spanish firm specialised in outdoor furnishings has produced the Stampa aluminium chair.
“I adore the Toledo designed in 1986 by Jorge Pensi for Knoll”, says Erwan Bouroullec “and I wanted to make an equally robust aluminium chair.”

Technologically complex, Stampa combines several aluminium production techniques and an injection-moulded ring connects the moulded seat to the back and the hydro-formed legs, reinforcing the whole structure. The calyx-shaped metal frame is also dotted with carefully arranged holes created with the sheet-metal punching technique.

All gives rise to a delicate chair that gives a textile impression but is robust enough to stand the test of time, even outdoors.
