Lenti & Marras

#66 Paola Lenti returns to the Chiostri dell’Umanitaria with a vibrantly coloured interior for the presentation of a collection designed jointly with Antonio Marras #salone2015

This partnership was triggered a few months ago when Paola Lenti was looking for somewhere to present the book Weaving Spaces, published by Corraini.

The choice fell on Via Cola di Rienzo 8 – the Sardinian fashion designer’s Circolo Marras.

They share not only a passion for the textile world but also a fluid and changing vision of living. “I always see things as mobile” – explains Marras – “I think the spaces of the home can constantly be changed”. Paola Lenti responds saying, “We also have the same approach and this year we are presenting the Build mobile partition system to encourage a constant use of spaces”.

Marras’ intention was to play with Lenti’s materials, combining them in unusual ways with her reference universe using jacquard for the jerseys, and woven, shaped and mixed with other existing materials to produce colour effects dictated by the fashion designer. The encounter between the two different languages fuse into a movement that discloses their shared belonging to a chromatic world of light, matter and transparency.
