From its standard products to more complex elements, from classic forms to a retro tropical theme, from essential raw metalwork to the intricate playful layering of colours, styles and images drawn from different centuries, Servomuto recounts its story of artisanal craftwork, of one-off creations and experiments in new aesthetics through the reinterpretation of unusual, old or forgotten objects.

The Chandelier project demonstrates a work-in-progress construction of a Servomuto lamp. A large chandelier will be assembled and finished during the Milan Design Week using fabrics and trimmings provided by Dedar. Dedar have collaborated with Servomuto also to create a new version of Patio by supplying avirgin wool fabric Modo. it is a separé composed of four oak poles and a system of horizontal hinged iron bars that hold taut the eighteen separate fabric panels, deckchair fabric for the basic version.
Servomuto, Guinea
Servomuto, Guinea
The floor lamp Guinea explores the aesthetics of bricolage, coupling natural materials such as stone and wood with with iron that has undergone tropicalization, a process that gives a characteristic rainbow nuance to the metal. Guinea has a particularly strong exotic reference. The screens on the lamp are inspired by palms and tropical colours. The base of the lamp is a block of untreated Portoro marble. The blocks are chosen individually, directly from the quarry, to ensure that every base is unique. The stem of the lamp is an oiled oak pole and the shade that is made from triple layered, hand pleated organza, is vertically adjustable.
The collection is completed by the Small Meringues, conceived as a new “pret a porter” lamp in the typical Servomuto style of form and colour.
