Luna bicycle

Omer Sagiv’s project for the Luna bicycle starts from the idea of use SLS technology wisely whislt keeping a low price: the result is a print on demand bicycle.

The Luna bicycle, conceived by London based designer Omer Sagiv, has 3D printed Nylon frame and front-fork and handle bar.

All the other parts are off the shelf parts.

The idea behind it is using SLS technology wisely, whilst keeping a low price (by using the ‘off the shelf’ parts). It is printed on demand- no stock required. Another advantage would be- no investment in moulds, hence, having the possibility of making changes of form or material in the future, whether for specific requirements or according to the fast technological development of 3D printing.

The Luna has a unique form that wisely uses the good Specific strength and durability of Nylon. The frame’s hexagons allow minimal surface area for a strong light structure.
