How can we create surroundings that stimulate creativity? Luca Nichetto came to the aid of Kinnarps, trying to answer the question with an unexpected and lively exhibition design for Pelota.

“Scandinative Workspace” is the name of the exhibition designed by Luca Nichetto in the Pelota space to display the collection of Swedish company Kinnarps.

A linguistic play on the words Scandinavian and creative, the title is a reference to the brief the designer received from the company: how can we create surroundings that stimulate our creativity?

Luca Nichetto responded with an unexpected and lively exhibition design, founded on the feature of the sliding door – which can alter our perception and create dynamic and changing surroundings. “I chose the colours after looking at Luis Barragán’s work, – says the designer – to express a certain kind of typically Latin-American joy, but toned down with a little Scandinavian calm to retain the company’s essence but add some more continental touches.”
