Leko: Didrik and Eiko

Buenos Aires design studio Leko presents at Salone Satellite, during Milan Design Week, the desk Didrik and the table lamp Eiko.

Didrik is a desk, made of steel and patagonic lenga wood.

A folded metal sheet works as structure and container at the same time. The wooden cover opens keeping horizontality so you don't need to move your things to acces the storage place. There is another compartment to keep cables in order and go out with an unique plug into the wall.

Eiko is desk lamp created with the idea of using simple processes and standard materials. Almost completely built in aluminium, except of the base made of steel, that gives it the necessary weight to keep it standing up it uses a 220v LED lamp, and its aluminium body functions as heat dissipation, to assure LED's lifetime. It admits different finishings, such as paint or anodization.

Leko is a design studio formed by José Dominguez and Leandro Leccese, both industrial designers from the University of Buenos Aires. They have been working toghether in this project since 2011. The result of that work is being launched at Salone Satellite 2014.
