The runners up won a prize of Euro 4,000 with “Tap togather” and are led by Marco Baldessari, a 29-year-old from Milan. His team includes Ebru Boyaci (originally from Turkey) and Marco Cattaneo, the same age. They all live in Monza where they have opened a design studio called Italic.
The “Tap togather” app avoids wasting paper products by gathering information, in quantities large and small. This digital solution optimises the distribution of promotional materials and interaction with visitors during events and trade fairs. With a simple touch of the telephone, visitors can contact the exhibiting company and gather information on its services, brand or products displayed in the form of a digital “card”.
The group that came third with “Good Food” wins a prize of Euro 2,000 and is led by 35-year-old Elisa Segoni from Florence, an architect with a PhD in Architecture and Design Technology from the Università degli Studi in Florence. Her team also comprises Guido Mengoni, Digital Director of Temera and founder of the web agency WhPH, and Matteo Casini, an engineer and fellow at the Media Integration and Communication Center of the Università degli Studi in Florence.
“Good Food” collects reviews on the Expo restaurants via the SocialUp app, an integrated service system that simplifies its users’ everyday lives and encourages social relationships and cohesion. Users can consult and book restaurant services directly via the platform, along with other social events (food-sharing, chef hire, ecological picnic, show cooking, etc.), to be held in the participating Expo2015 hospitality venues. “Good Food” also raises awareness on the importance of good food.
The apps envisage the use of Telecom Italia technology such as Cloud Computing, called Nuvola Italiana (a number of IT resources provided via the broadband network), and NFC (Near Field Communication), close-proximity radio-frequency technology that allows the exchange of information between devices placed close to each other.
