Domus 973 on newsstands

The October issue of Domus presents Foster’s scheme for the redesign of the port of Marseilles, the new house of music for the Benedictine monastery of Einsielden in Switzerland by Diener & Diener and the third house at Ponte de Lima in Portugal by Souto de Moura, that reworks the area’s traditional farmhouse.

Issue number 973 continues to consider the strategies adopted in different European schools for teaching architecture and product design with case studies of ETH, Zurich Polytechnic and ESAD-Saint-Étienne; meanwhile Dominique Perrault on one front and Florian Beigel and Philip Christou on another, address the problem of sustainability. Angela Vettese reconstructs the story of the Sette Savi by Melotti while Ettore Spalletti describes how he approaches his work and Citterio and Viel on how they design both architecture and objects.
