On the occasion of Maison & Objet 2013, French designer Benjamin Graindorge has presented his latest series of vases, Heirloom, designed for contemporary home furnishings manufacturer Moustache.
Made of enameled ceramic, the Heirloom vases are available in three sizes and colours — from dark blue to yellow —, and feature different loop tops. The vases seek to reinterpret the Japanese art of Ikebana, where the container is a fundamental element in minimal, depured flower compositions.
The Heirloom series follows the line of Graindorge's poetic, whimsical creations. The designer, who has lived and worked in Japan and France, is a 2006 graduate of ENSCI – Les Ateliers.
Since its launch in April 2009, Moustache has worked with designers such as François Azambourg, Big-Game, Sébastien Cordoléani, Matali Crasset, Benjamin Graindorge, Ionna Vautrin and Inga Sempé , creating a series of contemporary home furnishings.
