Swedish designers Helena Jonasson and Veronica Dagnert of London-based Studio Vit hav recently completed Marble lights, a collection of lamps in marble and glass with interchangeable components.
Presented during the Salone del Mobile 2012, the collection originates from two single objects — glass spheres and cylindrical marble lamp holders — which can be freely combined, allowing for myriad variations.
Marble lights includes table, floor and pendant lamps, as well as three floor weights which can be used as counterweights to the suspension lamps.
According to Studio Vit, the aim of the collection is to create a simple, yet refined product that can generate a juxtaposition of volumes, materials and weights.
