The mountain house in Montecampione, close to Brescia, Italy, has been renovated by Offstage studio with the aim of creating a non-typical mountain environment. Located in the Lombard Prealps, the shelter-apartment has a new distribution: the kitchen has been moved to the lower floor creating an open space where seatings for relaxation and the dining area are placed next to the fireplace. The inclinations of the original pitched roof and the walls — in grey and blue — let their roughness meet with the mustard-yellow false walls. These, cut at different heights, provide brightness and define the entire space, including the upper floor accessible from a wooden staircase, with the result of a uniform environment. The sleeping area upstairs includes two bedrooms separated by two bathrooms, paved with Ceppo di Grè gray stone like the entire house. The furniture, sometimes custom designed, includes wall-mounted wardrobes covered with wallpaper.
