The timeless lamps by Elisa Uberti

Elisa Uberti is a young French designer who lives and works in Rouibax in northern France, where in 2018 she founded her eponymous studio. After several years spent in the fashion industry, she decided to move away from mass consumer goods to devote herself to the production of artifacts that had a fundamental requirement: the lasting over time. In her studio she mainly works with clay, producing numbered series and unique pieces of lamps and sculptures.

The use of clay has satisfied man's needs within his domestic space for millennia, but in the case of Uberti it becomes the link between the world of design and that of art. Her entire production is characterized by monochromatic solutions with linear surfaces that make her objects contemporary without neglecting the spontaneity of the gesture: “I'm working very instinctively to create emotional and sensitive forms” - says Uberti. So the contact with clay becomes a moment of intimacy in which to search for primordial forms that are in balance between technical rigor and constructive freedom.
