The modular lunchbox that turns into an eating mat

Foldeat is a foldable lunchbox with a smart design: packing and eating your meals rationally and stylishly becomes easy, thanks to a set of stackable containers.

If you’re a fan of cooking your own food at home to avoid eating unhealthy meals in the office, then you might have devised your own solution to the problem of carrying food. There’s a good chance it might involve a stack of oddly coupled tupperware boxes, or, if you’re an Anime fan, a stylish Japanese Bento that’s both cute and way too small for the average Western portion.

Foldeat offers a different approach to the lunchbox dilemma, with a modular set that can be packed and zipped inside a foldable fabric container, which at the same time will turn into a nicely sized eating mat when it’s time to consume your meal. The whole set consists of stackable boxes, warm and cold gel pads, a special screw-lid bowl for soups o liquids, smaller dip containers, and silverware.
The mat-bag includes magnets to keep everything in place, can carry up to four food containers, and is easily washed in the washing machine. All the boxes are dishwasher and microwave safe.
Foldeat has been successfully funded on both Kickstarter and Indiegogo. After some delays due to the pandemic, the product will resume production this month and will be available to crowdfunders later this year.
