Alltubes, aluminium is the protagonist of Muller Van Severen’s collection

Straight or bent, aluminium tubes are used to create a line of containers and seats that gain impact thanks to their changing lighting effects.

The qualities of a material, aluminium, and the potential resulting from its application in a modular key are the assumptions that inspire the Alltubes collection, presented by Belgian designers Muller Van Severen at Collectible Design Fair in Brussels. As the name itself suggests, both straight and bent aluminium tubes are used to create two cabinets, one of which is suspended on the wall, together with a chair and a bench.

Rigorous and at the same time soft thanks to the effect of the jagged profile, their presence is nourished by the iridescent play of light on the wavy surface. The absence of hinges, screws or visible handles underlines their volumetric presence, enhancing the strength and at the same time the simplicity of the concept from which the pieces originated.
