Vito Nesta’s wallpapers inspired by Portaluppi

Made by young craftsmen of the San Patrignano recovery community, the wallpapers designed by Vito Nesta are a tribute to the hidden details of Villa Mozart in Milan.

The wallpaper collection for Villa Mozart by Vito Nesta is a tribute to the 1940s evocations of the house designed by Aldo Andreani in 1926, and then completed by the Milanese architect Piero Portaluppi.

Originally conceived for Doppia Firma during the Salone del Mobile 2019 – a project that brings together a designer and local craftsmen – the wallpapers were handmade by young artisans of the Design Lab of the San Patrignano recovery community in Rimini, Italy.

The papers retrace the rooms of the villa reproducing the interior’s details, amplifying the marble veins and evoking the tiles’ patterns and the wood lines.
