Salone del Mobile is back: the 61st edition — to be held at the Milan Rho Fiera from 18 to 23 April 2023 — will focus on openness, sustainability and research. The event, curated by Maria Porro, President of Salone del Mobile.Milano, has been announced to be different from previous editions, more enjoyable for visitors and sustainable for the environment.
There is great expectation for Euroluce, the biennial dedicated to the world of lighting, proposing a brand new layout for this edition: a ring-shaped path, designed by Lombardini22, with a polygonal and fluid shape. The space will be enhanced by interdisciplinary cultural contents curated by Beppe Finessi, exploring architecture and art themes through exhibitions, talks, workshops and installations. Great importance will be given to the contribution of Formafantasma, who will transform Euroluce into an ideal city by designing its public spaces.

“It is a team effort that will transform Euroluce into a great visitor experience and will make it possible both to get to know and touch top-quality products and to delve into topics related to the world of lighting thanks to a cultural offer of the highest level aimed at buyers, professionals and the entire design community”, said Maria Porro
A new look also for the fair, proposing an innovative format suited to the challenges of the trade fair sector. The spaces, conceived to offer the visitor an non-strictly-commercial experience, have been designed by listening to more than 2,300 field interviews with people from different countries. The green aspect is fundamental: exhibiting companies will be able to use Salone’s digital services for the production of environmentally friendly stands through advice on materials, suppliers and techniques suggested by the platform.
SaloneSatellite will be located inside the Euroluce pavilions and will dedicate a focus to Design Schools/Universities with the theme “Design School: Building the (im)possible. Process, Progress, Practice”.
