Launched today at IMM Cologne and in anticipation of the next WonderGlass exhibition at Milan Design Week in April, Melt is Nendo’s latest experiment with molten glass.

Simple as it seems, the project required a complex production process, possible only with an exact junction of timing and temperature. The natural fall of the material determines here the final shape of the product through a process where hot glass sheets are laid over steel pipes and suspended between steel bars.

“Together with our master craftsmen in Venice Nendo has explored the molten liquid nature of glass, and has created a beautiful collection of furniture that focuses on simplicity and the form created by the flow of gravity,” explain WonderGlass founders Maurizio and Christian Mussati.

The collection will be exhibited until 17 January 2019 at 25hours Hotel The Circle in Cologne.
