If your dining table lacks cultural references, have a look at Siman, Gian Paolo Venier’s new tableware collection to be presented at Milan Design Week 2018. The collections references to the Toghrul Tower, an ancient 20 meters tall brick monument located in Rey, next to Tehran.

Siman in Farsi means ‘concrete’, and is made of seven different pieces – a cake stand, two candle holders, a catchall, two dishes and a vase. The collection is hand-produced in Greece by Greek brand UrbiEtOrbi and is available in two different shades of grey. In his design process Venier firstly used clay to shape the objects, and than transferred them into 3D printed samples to create silicon-molds.
