It's a design for a new bench (now produced by modo srl) that is fixed to the ground at one end so that it can rotate on itself. As a result, the public space is not totally predefined and users have a certain amount of autonomy in arranging it as they wish: benches can be orientated for sitting in the shade or in the sun, facing the exit of the nearby school or looking on to the street, under a streetlight or in the shadows.
