Can a rising star of design already have produced enough work to merit a 320-page monograph?

In the case of Spanish designer Jaime Hayon (born in 1974) the answer is yes. Designer and artist, Hayon worked as a researcher at Fabrica in the late 1990s and began his career as a designer in 2004. His work ranges from ceramics to interior design, furniture, toys, shoes and bathroom accessories. He has taken part in many events and also curated the last edition of the Lisbon Design Biennale. The book describing his work, published by Gestalten and with a preface by Jasper Morrison, will be presented during the Milan Furniture Fair along with an exhibition of some of his most recent projects at the Spazio Rossana Orlandi.
