Imagine peace

In the long Icelandic night of the island of Videy, a light installation celebrates peace. Yoko Ono wanted to remember once again the pacifism of John Lennon, killed on December 8, 1980.

The work consists of a circular stone platform that is engraved in twenty four languages with words from Imagine. A series of columns of light generated by a system of projectors and mirrors (created using the Light Up system from iGuzzini designed by J. M. Wilmotte) makes it possible to see the Imagine Peace Tower from as far away as Reykjavik. Silvia Monaco
