“Time Code”, curated by Fabiola Naldi and Alessandra Pioselli, is the title of a video art series that opened recently at MAMbo in Bologna. The works chosen all feature some kind of manipulation of the notion time using post-production techniques.

With the aim of drawing the public closer to the use of video graphics, at the eight showings there will also be an open encounter with the artists and curators aimed at looking at the piece in further depth through the analysis of the tools chosen for intervening on the time structure.

The first showing will feature video pieces by two Northern European artists:
Minor Field Study (2006), made by Swedish artist Loulou Cherinet, is a double video projection that shows material filmed by anthropologist Billy Marius on the border between the Congo and Cameroon alongside material filmed by the artist at Orminge, a suburb on the outskirts of Stockholm.
Enduring Portraits (2007) by Kjersti Sundland is a portrait of a female face that gradually ages. The Norwegian artist made it by filming two faces of women of different ages. Giulia Guzzini
