The performance, entitled The hand reverts to its own movement…, is inspired by a text by Aby Warburg, that Jonas has worked on focussing on certain parts that have particularly inspired her. The piece will be a solo, with choral movements at intervals constructed together with the participants on the course. Props and video-projections of pre-recorded material will enter into dialogue in space and live images will amplify a number of sequences of the performance. Central theme of the performance will be drawing, in relation to movement and the projection of images.

A true hotbed of ideas, the Advanced Course in Visual Arts is characterised by the way it offers young people the possibility to work alongside leading artists. Participants on the course showed their previous work at a seminar with Jonas in an exhibition presented in Como. A series of performances and installations then followed, starting at the ex San Francesco church and moving on to various locations around the city.

The final projects, the results of the experience, will be presented in an exhibition at the end of course, Invisible Miracles, planned for November 29 until December 15, 2007 in Milan at the careof, neon>fdv, viafarini, fabbrica del vapore galleries. At the inauguration, the three winners will be announced of the second edition of the Premio Epson FAR per la ricerca artistica. Giulia Guzzini
