Bologna: starts the fifth edition of Deficit!
Twelve days of performances, installations, encounters and videos fill the calendar of a festival organised by Xing in Bologna. Events are all linked by the common theme of deficit, interpreted in all kinds of ways by around a dozen international artists. Ukrainian Alexander Petlura for example, shows his bizarre collection of relics from the Soviet empire on improvised models, whilst Pool, the new creation from Kinkaleri becomes, according to the artists themselves, “a place of simple happenings, light things and fast fascinations”.
Exhibitions are held in various locations; an industrial space (ex Bologna motori, via Creti 24), the Galleria Accursio in the centre (piazza Nettuno), the Cinema Lumiere (via Azzo Gandino 65), the Raum space, dedicated to contemporary arts (via Ca’ Selvatica 4/d) and the neon>campobase gallery (via Zanardi 2/5).
