The title was taken from movie with the same name, in which a young man sings an operatic aria without sound, and so denying the gratification of an immediate consent, but creating a great pathos just for this "failure".
After London, Sam will be on exhibition at the Shiseido Gallery in Tokyo from the 8th January to the 24th February 2002 and then at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam from the 12th January to the 1st April of next year, on both occasions exhibiting a selection of his most recent works. Following this, a great exhibition dedicated to the work of Sam Taylor-Wood will open at the Hayward Gallery in London on the 25th April 2002.
