Richard Horden, Through Space

An exhibition at the Facoltà di Architetture e Società at the Politecnico in Milan, open until 30 April is dedicated to the work of Richard Horden, professor at the Technische Universität in Munich.
The exhibition, that has been organised from March onwards in the universities at Pescara, Napoli and Genoa, is showing in Milan from 20 April in the Guido Nardi exhibition space and is accompanied by a book edited by Massimo Perriccioli of the Facoltà di Architettura in Ascoli Piceno for Edizioni Kappa in Roma.

To mark the event the Dipartimento BEST, with support from Alcan Alluminio S.p.a., has also organised two seminars, the first of which was held on 22 April entitled “Light tech”, introduced by Anna Mangiarotti, with interventions from Andrea Campioli and Alessandra Zanelli from BEST and Stefano Amurri from Alcan Alluminio.

A second seminar entitled “Through space” will take place in the E.N. Rogers lecture theatre on Thursday 29 April, starting at 16.00. After an introduction from the head of the faculty Pier Carlo Palermo and director of BEST Fabrizio Schiaffonati, Massimo Perriccioli will present Horden’s work, with comments from Luca Molinari from the Triennale in Milan and the architect himself. Images show two projects by Richard Horden, the portable aluminium “Point Lookout” for observation and life saving in Sidney (1993) and the Study Gallery for exhibitions of contemporary art at Poole College in Dorset (1995-97).
