Opening of Spaziosarpi: flexibility and transformation
Six hundred square metres dedicated to all aspects of travel– from booking an airline ticket to clothing, passport renewal, books and guides. The new “Spaziosarpi” in Milan opens today at 19.00 in via Paolo Sarpi, 6 Milan in a converted cinema. Designed by Exnext who have made a space very much with flexibility in mind.
In the evening, the space is transformed – thanks to its mobile furnishings in glass and steel which are placed along the walls and hidden by clever lighting – to become a place which can be used for concerts, exhibitions or cultural events which can hold up to 300 people seated or 600 standing.
The main feature of the design is the foyer, dominated by a PVC membrane and two video projects which break up images of those entering the building, projecting them along the walls.
