Just opened at the National Building Museum in Washington, the largest retrospective ever dedicated to the architect Cesar Pelli. He formed himself in the studio of Eero Saarinen (where he worked from 1952 to 1964). Born in Argentina 74 years ago, the cosmopolitan project designer opened his own studio, Cesar Pelli & Associates, in 1977.
The show recounts fifty years of an "honored" and multi-awardwinning career through photographs, murals, about 100 drawings and 30 original drawings.
Among his creations are the Financial Center of New York, the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur and Ronald Reagan airport in Washington D.C.
