Bathroom furniture we would have seen at the Salone 2020, selected by Domus

What would companies in the bathroom industry have presented if the usual “Salone within the Salone” hadn't slipped?

The Salone del Bagno and Eurocucina bring to the Salone del Mobile every two years, decor solutions for those domestic spaces that are most called upon to respond to technical and functional demands. Cancelled this year as a result of the Covid-19 health emergency, these two events will now be part of the 2021 Salone del Mobile (from 13 April to 18 April), set to be an important edition not only because the Salone will be celebrating its sixtieth anniversary but also as it will include the other two biennial fairs, dedicated to lighting and the office.

Companies have responded in different ways to the postponement: some have decided to communicate the products that they were working on for 2020 while others have preferred to stay with the items already in the catalogue and delay the launch of new products to next spring. Looking at the overall, technological research and innovative use of materials prove to be the frontier of contemporaneity and the dimension that best represents this approach is the flexibility that makes it possible to create a large number of applicative solutions.
