FO-Fotografia Open is an en-plein-air travelling exhibition, transforming building sites, seen as temporary and shape-shifting architectures, into exhibition spaces in which photography becomes a means to reinterpret, recount and rebuild urban space. For this project the Rogoredo/Santa Giulia district welcomes forty large-size photographs by American photographer Lucas Foglia: a homage to the world of nature with a narrative focusing on the interaction between humans and landscape, and between environment and technological evolution.
The Councillor for Culture of the City of Milan has commented: “Wild spaces or urban contexts where humans seek to establish a connection with the natural environment are the contexts of these narratives which also reveal the critical consequences of climate change and the fragility of certain ecosystems where humans can become active agents in finding solutions to heal and cure. In an evolving urban landscape, over a building site’s fence, this project involves all the community in an artistic installation that with its unexpected views expands our vision on the world.” The exhibition is on until 31 December 2021 for locals and the many tourists we hope will be coming to Milan.
