Fucina presents Latteria: the aluminum milking stool

Presented ad Milano Design Days Fucina presents a new design project born from the collaboration with Japanese designer Keiji Takeuchi: an object that looks simple but hides the complexity of a sculpture.

Fucina is a brand born from Lidi company, leader in the metal carpentry sector, that is supervised by the artistic direction of Maddalena Casadei. During Milan Design Days, within the spaces of Maga, in piazza Vetra in Milan, it presented a new seating collection that will be launched officially in 2021. Designed by designer Keiji Takeuchi, Latteria is a project born, as suggested by the name, from the three-legged milking stools usually used in farms,.

Despite its simple appearance, the project required a long development and synergy with external specialists. The seat, in fact, is produced by milling a single block of aluminum 5 cm thick. The milling process allows, via CNC technology to obtain the seating piece complete with the handle hole and the three leg attachments, where is later positioned a metal frame that allows for perfect screwing of the leg-cylinders, guaranteeing stability.

The surfaces have undergone an active nanotechnological treatment that inhibits the proliferation of all harmful substances that are deposited on the surfaces, both by physical contact and by aerial contact, thus resulting antibacterial and preventing fingerprint stains. Plus it turns the stool quite slippery when you sit on it, making it ideal for "fast" and dynamic environments suche as cafes or offices and the contract world in general.
