The original Nike Huarache hit the shelves in 1991 in green/royal blue colour. Inspired by Native American sandals called Huarache, with neoprene grip and the exoskeletal upper they introduced a new approach to containing the foot. These traits get augmentation in the new Nike Adapt Huarache, which uses the intelligent FitAdapt platform introduced this year with the “self-lacing” Adapt BB basketball shoes. In its latest iteration, it provides an array of personal preferences amid various environments and situations. With the app, wearers can browse through several preset fit recommendations and even control the shoe with an Apple Watch and Siri.
