The multifaceted playground that invaded the streets of Milan

For the Fuorisalone, Wood-Skin has proposed an urban installation that enhances the formal qualities of its cladding systems, capable of transforming rigid panels into three-dimensional surfaces.

Waves, clouds and nets, fluid and irregular geometries are the forms of the present day.

For Fuorisalone 2019, Wood-Skin presented a public installation that transformed a sidewalk in Corso Garibaldi, Milan, into a three-dimensional surface, with bundles of different materials that gave shape to seats, walls and shelters.

The installation shows the infinite possibilities offered by the cladding system, which transforms rigid surfaces into macro-fabrics, presenting the new patterns, materials and finishes of the company founded in 2013.

Materials that are usually rigid and flat become foldable like origami with a unique and evolving shape.

The cladding panels for walls and ceilings can be flexed as required thanks to milling and hinges that allow the installation of the membrane without the need for any substructure.
