Acer's new ConceptD computers are made for creatives

One is a desktop PC with a wooden element that reminds of furniture piece, while another is a $5000 hybrid between a big laptop and a graphic tablet.

At its annual press event in New York last week, Acer has unveiled a new line of high-performance desktop and laptops designed for creative professionals. Called ConceptD, the line-up aims at delivering performance, silence, design and color precision. Two of the most appealing new products are the Concept D 9, and the ConceptD 500. The first one a 5000$ hybrid between a laptop and a high-level graphic tablet. Its display swivels "Ezel Aero Hinge”, so that users can “pull” their work closer by working directly on the screen. The ConceptD 500 is a desktop computer with an interesting design that incorporates an unusual wooden element on top, along with a 9th generation Intel Core i9 CPU, an NVIDIA Quadro RTX4000 graphics and an innovative cooling system that’s particularly quiet, topping at 40DB. It will be available in June 2019 with an entry level price of $1600.
