Roughly two weeks after the introduction of AirPods 2, Apple-owned Beats has announced the Powerbeats Pro. They are Beats’ first truly wireless earbuds, and they inherit the main features that Apple debuted on its new AirPods, such as the H1 chip enabling faster switching between devices and hands-free “Hey Siri” support.
On the Powerbeats Pro Beats has snipped the cable that connected the previous version of the earbuds and has included a charging box that can get you to 24hrs of total listening time (the internal battery of the earbuds can last up to 9hrs on a single charge). Beats Powerbeats Pro offer also a better fit for sports thanks to an ear hook that goes around the ear and four interchangeable silicon tips for each ear size.
The new features of the Powerbeats Pro come at a price, though: they’ll cost £220.
Powerbeats Pro are Beats' answer to AirPods 2
The new wireless earphones from the Apple-owned brand will be available in May.
