American architect Eric Carlson from Carbondale designed the new Dolce & Gabbana boutique in Venice, in the historic Palazzo Torres, close to San Marco. After a careful restoration work, the result is an 800 sqm space spread over two floors in dialogue with the original environments: frescoes, Murano glass chandeliers, damask silk tapestries, boiserie and baroque mirrors.

The new interiors have been embellished by 350 square meters of mosaic surfaces by Italian brand Friul Mosaic, used both on walls and floors. The main wall reveals a fan pattern made of glass tesserae with 24 carat gold leaf; the room dedicated to jewelry presents mosaic walls inspired by the starry sky of the Basilica of San Marco.
