Zaha Hadid Architects’ proposal won the competition for a new business center in Vilnius, Lituania. In dialogue with the public square adjacent to the site, the ZHA-designed Business Stadium Central aims to be a new and dynamic gathering hub.
The 258,333 square feet project is composed of two low-rise towers of 8 and 9 stories connected at street level by a courtyard atrium; two floors of public amenities, and a sky-bridge linking both structures at level five. Both volumes have curving façades and look over the historic Gediminas Castle Tower, in the heart of the city.
ZHA designed flexible office spaces within the central floors of each, connected with landscaped roof gardens and terraces. The atrium courtyard hosts cafes, restaurants, and shops and, at the top floors, there are two public swimming pools, saunas, steam rooms, and sun decks – with panoramic views over the historic Old Town.
All the materials needed for the construction are evaluated to enable disassembly and reuse at the end of the building’s life cicle.

A house turns its back on the road to open up to the landscape
The single-family house project designed by Elena Gianesini engages in a dialogue with the Vicenza landscape, combining tranquility and contemporary style through essential geometries and the Mazzonetto metal roofing.
