Body care brand Aesop brings to Brighton a shop that is similar to a domestic space, with private corners and wooden furniture. Founded in 1987 and based in Melbourne, the company locates its shops into neighborhoods trying to maintain their identity. In 104-105 Gloucester Road, the new Aesop shop suggests a simple life and a calm atmosphere inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s The bedroom (1889). Its deep blue-green walls recall the railings of the city’s seashore, the original parquet on the floor has been sanded back and patinated pine and rattan furniture brings the visitor back to the past. The space, divided into several rooms, guides the customers through the products letting them feel the peace of a different era.
