If it’s true (and obvious) that every visit to Rome feels like the first—thanks to the layering of architecture, fountains, sculpted faces on facades, shrines, nuns, and signage (potholes, poorly parked cars, buses in flames, and so on) that somehow always feels new to those exploring the Eternal City and overstimulates the senses, especially sight—imagine what might happen if your eyes were joined by another one: an artificial eye, capable of incredible things.
We decided to carry out this experiment armed with the “eyes” of the Honor 400 Pro 5G and Honor 400 5G, which combine top-tier performance with the power of Google’s artificial intelligence.

For two days, we roamed the Eternal City, exploring both iconic landmarks and lesser-known corners, in search of hidden details and signs to “hack” using AI features that can directly edit photos in the gallery.
After revolutionizing our relationship with text through platforms like ChatGPT, artificial intelligence is now transforming the way we interact with today’s most widespread and democratic language: the language of images.
The Honor 400 Pro 5G and Honor 400 5G combine their top-tier performance with the advanced AI features powered by Google.
In this context, the latest devices launched by Chinese tech giant Honor prove to be cutting-edge tools. The Honor 400 Pro 5G’s 200MP main camera, equipped with dual stabilization, allows for crisp, clear shots even in low-light conditions. Its up to 50x zoom captures even the smallest details without sacrificing quality, while the AI technology developed in collaboration with Google unlocks virtually endless possibilities.

Here are some of the most interesting features we tested during the stops on our Roman tour.
1. Ai image to video
If you don’t have access to a cinema dolly but still want to create eye-catching shots like this one, HONOR has the perfect solution. Thanks to integration with Google Cloud’s "AI Image to Video," you can turn simple still images into short motion clips—with surprisingly impressive results. The service is free for the first two months and allows up to 10 uses per day.
One of the standout features is HD Moving Photo, which captures a three-second sequence and transforms it into a dynamic video that’s easy to share or edit directly from your smartphone—perfect for social media.

2. Superzoom
The HONOR 400 Pro 5G’s 200MP main camera, equipped with dual stabilization, captures sharp images even in low-light conditions. With up to 50x zoom, you can get closer to every detail without compromising quality. From the Janiculum Terrace, this means scanning Rome’s domes, bell towers, and rooftops becomes a surprisingly precise and immersive experience.

3. AI eraser
Rome wasn’t built in a day, but one of the most interesting features lets you “rebuild” it in just seconds. With AI Eraser, you can easily remove unwanted elements from a photo: simply circle them, like we did with the crowd of tourists on the steps of Trinità dei Monti, and the image is regenerated with remarkable precision.

4. Outpainting
This feature is perfect for expanding a photo beyond its original borders—useful for redefining the image’s orientation or format. Just ask the AI to “continue” building it. Hannibal Carracci will forgive us, but this function had to be tested on his “bean eater,” preserved at the Colonna Gallery.

5. Remove reflection
Museum lovers, exhibition fans, and window-shopper enthusiasts—this is your moment: with this feature, reflections vanish and artworks come out of their cases (or the famous priests’ calendar emerges from its plastic wrap).
