The Macam Hotel will open in March in the Portuguese capital, offering hospitality in 64 rooms that will not only accommodate tourists, but also the extensive collection of the Armando Martins Museum of Contemporary Art. The museum and its hotel will be located in the prestigious Palácio dos Condes da Ribeira Grande, a historic building that has been extended to house the Macam, with a new wing entirely covered in 3D azulejos designed by ceramist Maria Ana Vasco Costa.

Every corner of the Macam Hotel, from the rooms to the common areas and outdoor spaces, will be enriched with works from the Armando Martins Collection, which since 1970 has collected pieces by international artists such as Daniel Buren, Marina Abramović, Olafur Eliasson and many others, in addition to the great Portuguese names.
In addition to the permanent museum experience, the five-star hotel will have a bar, a restaurant serving local cuisine, a library specialising in art books and a deconsecrated chapel where cultural events will be held. All with unparalleled views of the 25 April Bridge.
