National Stadium in Japan, conceived for Tokyo 2020 by Kengo Kuma architects, has been completed after 36 months of construction and it will officially open on 21 December. Next year summer Olympics will take place from 24 July to 9 August in Japan: the new infrastrucure, able to host 60,000 visitors, is going to be a central venue for the games and athletics competitions, while the first sport event, the Emperor’s Cup soccer final, will be played in the stadium on 1 January 2020. Other public venues are planned to be built along with the National Stadium, with a total of eight new buildings for Tokyo 2020.

Design and ceramics renew a shopping center
FMG Fabbrica Marmi and architect Paolo Gianfrancesco, of THG Arkitektar Studio, have designed the restyling of the third floor of Reykjavik's largest shopping center. Ceramic, the central element of the project, covers floors, walls and furniture with versatile solutions and distinctive character.
