Perimetro was born last autumn with an exclusive motto: "Milan as you have never seen it". During this first year of life Perimetro’s aim was that of telling the story of the city from different points of view: through its places, from the very central, noisy, fluorescent and glossy ones to those invisible and silent on the edge, through the great urban transformations that have changed it in recent years, through its inhabitants, their lifestyles and its communities, through its solidarity projects that set it in motion, cultural events, spontaneous movements and the underground scene that animate it.

Sebastiano Leddi, founder of Perimetro and the curatorial team that together with him has given life to the project, are able to involve some of the most talented photographers of the Milanese scene and, on a monthly bases, launch contests and calls open to professionals and non- professionals, to tell the city through images.
About one hundred photographic projects have been published to date. 

These stories are collected in an online magazine and on "Tasca", the paper extract of Perimetro, created in collaboration with Fontegrafica. Perimetro has so far seen the publication of eleven issues - the twelfth in October - in a limited edition of 200 copies, each number on different types of paper, which together will form a single book, a collective and unpublished photographic atlas of Milan.

A presentation meeting is organised at the Elita Bar on the Navigli at the publication of each single issue- a fixed appointment that has now become part of the agenda of Milanese events – where photographers involved in the project and other professionals are invited by the editorial staff to talk about the new issue.

This is how Perimetro has created a new community - not just a virtual one - made up of photographers, enthusiasts and active citizens who come together to talk about their city, trying to interpret and understand it together.
A community that, like the ones involved in each issue, enriches and animates Milan.
